A+ Vitamin C Refill
A+ Vitamin C in flexible and recyclable refill bag.
Most animals can convert glucose into vitamin C – congratulations to all of them! Unfortunately, humans cannot do that and therefore we need to add the vitamin through the diet or via supplements in order not to feel tired and exhausted. And through the diet it can be difficult when oranges, clementines and all other citrus fruits lose their good taste for long periods of the year. Here, vitamin C in the form of dietary supplements comes in handy. A+ Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system and energy metabolism [ 1 ] .
- For immune system and energy
- 500 mg with Time Release function and citrus bioflavonoids
- Refill bag made from 80% less plastic
- The bag can also be resealed and used daily, while the contents are kept safe
- 120 tablets which are enough for 4 months of use
A+ Vitamin C Refill
Citrus bioflavonoids increase absorption
A+ Vitamin C provides a whopping 500 mg of vitamin C and 50 mg of citrus bioflavonoids per tablet. Citrus bioflavonoids interact with vitamin C by increasing its absorption in the different parts of the body. This means that the bioflavonoids contribute to promoting the positive properties of vitamin C [ 3 ] .
Smart Time Release function
A+ Vitamin C also has a smart Time Release function which means that the active content is released slowly in the digestive system and is completely dissolved after 4 hours. The concentration in the blood then becomes more even over time.
An antioxidant with several benefits in the body
Vitamin C is an antioxidant that contributes, among other things, to the immune system [ 1 , 2 ] and the normal functioning of the nervous system [ 1 ] , to protect the cells against oxidative stress [ 1 ] , to reduce fatigue and exhaustion [ 1 ] and contributes to normal energy turnover [ 1 ] .
Vitamin C is also essential for the formation of collagen , which is necessary for, among other things, the normal function of cartilage and skin [ 1 ] .
Vitamin C facilitates the absorption of other nutrients, among other things iron , zinc , copper , folic acid and calcium [ 1 ] . Vitamin C also protects fat-soluble vitamins and other fatty substances from oxidizing.
Humans are one of the few species that cannot form vitamin C
Most animals manufacture vitamin C daily from glucose in the kidneys and liver and are therefore not dependent on getting it through the diet. Humans, on the other hand, are one of the few species that cannot form vitamin C themselves, and therefore we need to supply the vitamin via the diet or through dietary supplements. Signs of vitamin C deficiency are, in the most serious case, scurvy, which causes bleeding in the muscles, joints and skin.
