Common signs of hormonal imbalance
The symptoms of hormonal imbalance can vary depending on which glands or hormones are out of balance. Hormones work together, which means that if one is weaker, another has to work harder.
Hard to sleep
The most common sign of hormonal imbalance is fatigue. Even though you sleep enough, you still feel tired. The most common cause is elevated insulin levels, but it can also be due to a low progesterone level.
Mood swings
Depression, anxiety or irritability are all common symptoms of hormonal imbalance. It becomes especially clear when the levels of estrogen or progesterone are too low or high.
Decreased sex drive
If you experience lower or non-existent sex drive, it may be due to low estrogen levels. It is not at all strange that sex drive goes up and down. But it could be a sign that something is not right.
